NEW ENGINE 432 ARRIVES HOME

AFTER MANY DELAYS THE NEW ENGINE 432 HAS ARRIVED HOME. 4 MEMBERS WENT TO THE 4 GUYS PLANT IN MYERSDALE PA TO DO THE FINAL INSPECTION AND BRING HOME THE MUCH ANTICIPATED NEW ENGINE. MEMBERS DID A THROUGH EVALUATION OF THE TRUCK, DID A MINI PUMP TEST AND HAS INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW ALL THE SYSTEMS WORK. THIS TRUCK HAS AIR PRIMERS WHICH IS NEW AND A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FOAM SYSTEM THAN THE 2 OTHER SYSTEMS WE HAVE. WITH ALL SYSTEMS MEETING OR EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS, THE NEW TRUCK WAS DRIVEN HOME TO STATION 43 WHERE IT WILL BE HOUSED AND ANSWER EMERGENCY CALLS.

CREWS SPENT 6 HRS FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER ARRIVAL PUTTING THE EQUIPMENT ON THE APPARATUS AND GETTING THE SCBA BRACKETS ADJUSTED FOR USE. HOSE WAS LOADED ONTO THE TRUCK, FOAM PLACED INTO THE ONBOARD FOAM TANKS THE WATER TANK WAS FILLED. NEW E=432 WAS READY FOR SERVICE AND PLACED IN SERVICE WITH THE DISPATCH CENTER AS OF 10pm FRIDAY NIGHT .

ENGINE 432, A 2001 PUMPER TRUCK, HAS BEEN SOLD TO THE PINEGROVE TOWNSHIP VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT IN VENANGO COUNTY NEAR OIL CITY PA. THE 1500GPM PUMPER WITH 1000 GALLON WATER TANK WAS SOLD AND THE PROCEEDS WILL BE USED TOWARD THE NEW APPARATUS.
