INSPECTIONS FOR AMBULANCE LICENSE AND RESCUE CERTIFICATION
Tue. Jun 18th 2019

2 MEMBERS OF EMMCO WEST ARRIED AT STATION 43 TO DO THE ON SITE INSPECTION OF OUR 4 QRS TRUCKS AS WELL AS OUR 2 AMBULANCES AND PARAMEDIC "EMS SQUAD" UNIT.  TO MAKE FOR EN EVEN MORE HECTIC AND BUSY DAY THEY ALSO DID THE RESCUE INSPECTION FOR THE OPERATIONS LEVEL CERTIFICATION.  THE QRS EQUI[PMENT WAS CHECKED BY 1 MEMBER FROM EMMCO WITH THE AMBULANCES BEING CHECKED BY THE OTHER.  WITH THE TRUCKS BOTH EQUIPPED TO THE ALS LEVEL THIS TOOK SOME TIME TO COMPLETE.  WE WERE ALSO STILL IN SERVICE AND HAD 4 EMS CALLS TO HANDLE DURING THE INSPECTION.  THE PAID STAFF ON SHIFT AS WELL AS SOME VOLUNTEERS HELPD TO GET ALL THE EQUIPMENT CHECKED WITH ONLY A COUPLE MINOR PROBLEMS.

THE AMBULANCE RENEWAL WAS COMPLETE AS OF 6-25 2019 AND WILL BE GOOD TILL JULY OF 2022.

THE RESCUE CERTIFICATION HAS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE STATE FIRE ACADEMY IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS TO RECEIVE OR 3 YEAR RENEWAL FOR THIS AS WELL.

THAKS TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED CHECK TRUCKS AND MADE SURE ALL OUR EQUIPMENT WAS IN SHAPE FOR THE INSPECTIONS.  WITH 4 QRS TRUCKS, 2 ALS AMBULANCES AND THE PARAMEDIC UNIT THERE WERE LOTS OF BAGS TO CHECK AND PREPARE FOR THE INSPECTION.  THE RESCUE EQUIPMENT WAS ALSO A BIG TASK TO BE SURE ALL THE REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR THE OPERATIONAL LEVEL CERTIFICATION WAS PRESENT.
