SATURDAY MORNING WE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT PAST CHIEF PAUL DHALKEMPER HAD PASSED AWAY. PAUL HAD BEEN ILL FOR A SHORT TIME AND HE PASSED WITH FAMILY AT HIS BEDSIDE WHILE IN UPMC HAMOT MEDICAL CENTER.

THE USUAL GROUP OF MEMBERS TOOK TIME TO GET THE GRASS TRUCK BACK TOGETHER FOR YET ANOTHER SEASON OF GRASS FIRE AND MINI PUMPER DUTIES. THE PLOW WAS REMOVED AND PUT IN STORAGE AT ST. 43 AND THE SKID UNIT WAS PLACED BACK ON THE TRUCK.
SEVERAL MEMBERS SPENT THE DAY TODAY AT THE AMBASSADOR CONFERENCE CENTER . 6 MEMBERS TOOK L-429 AND S- 437 DOWN TO DISPLAY FOR THE KIDS AND PARENTS A LIKE. U-438 WITH FREDDIE ALSO MADE IT TO THE FEST IVIES.

THE OLD 1997 PIERCE LADDER CURRENTLY IN RESERVE HAS BEEN PUT ON A SALE PENDING STATUS TO THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE FIRE TRAINING ACADEMY NEAR PARMA OH. THE TRUCK WILL BE ADDED TO THEIR FLEET OF 2 PUMPERS AND ALLOW THEM TO EXPAND THEIR TRAINING PROGRAM.
