AT APPROXIMATELY 1050 HRS THIS AM WHILE CREWS WERE OPERATING AT A KITCHEN FIRE IN STATION 44 FIRST DUE AND 1 AMBULANCE WAS ASSISTING WATERFORD ON A CARDIAC PATIENT WE WERE DISPATCHED FOR A MVA ON PERRY HI-WAY IN FRONT OF THE FRENCH QUARTERS BAR.  E-432 RESPONDED FROM THE KITCHEN FIRE TO THE ACCIDENT. WITH CREWS OUT ON OTHER CALLS WE REQUESTED KUHL HOSE FOR 1 AMBULANCE TO RESPOND FOR OUR TRANSPORT UNIT.

E-432 AND FIRE POLICE ARRIVED TO FIND 1 VEHICLE INTO THE WEST GUARD RAIL WITH MODERATE DAMAGE BUT NO ENTRAPMENT.  THE LONE DRIVER HAD INJURIED FROM HITTING MOUTH ON THE STEERING WHEEL.  S-687 FROM KUHL HOSE ARRIVED AND ASSUMED PATIENT CARE. E-432 SECURED THE BATTERY WHILE FIRE POLICE HANDLED THE TRAFFIC. THERE WAS MINIMAL DEBRIS TO CLEAN UP AND THIS WAS LEFT FOR THE WRECKER SERVICE AS THE CAR HAD TO BE MOVED BEFORE THE DEBRIS COULD BE SWEPT UP. E-432 RETURNED TO STATION 43 AND FIRE POLICE CLEARED THE SCENE APPROX 30 MIN AFTER E-432.  PSP WAS ON LOCATION AND HANDLING THE INVESTIGATION.
