HOUSE FIRE WITH STAION 44

SHORTLY AFTER 9AM TODAY CREWS WERE CALLED OUT FOR A REPORTED HOUSE FIRE IN THE 2200 BLOCK OF EDINBORO ROAD IN STATION 44 (KEARSARGE) FIRST DUE.  CHIEF 461 WAS FIRST ON SCENE AND REPORTED A WORKING FIRE IN A 1 STORY VACANT HOME.  E-474 WAS FIRST ON SCENE WITH THE IRT CREW AND LAYED A 5" SUPPLY LINE UP THE DRIVEWAY AND PULLED A 13/4" ATTACK LINE.  E-423 WAS THE NEXT DUE ENGINE COMPANY AND PICK UP THE SUPPLY LINE AND COMPLETED THE WATER SUPPLY TO THE HYDRANT 100' DOWN AND ACROSS EDINBORO ROAD.  MDP WAS REQUESTED WITH FIRE POLICE TO CLOSE OFF EDINBORO ROAD.  E-432 RESPONDED FOR ADDITIONAL MANPOWER.  L-449 ARRIVED 3RD DUE AND WAS ABLE TO POSITION IN THE DRIVEWAY BEHIND E-474.  CREWS FROM E-474, E-423, E-432, E-364 AND R-444 ROTATED TO MADE AN INTERIOR ATTACK AND FOUND FIRE UP THE CHARLY SIDE WALL AND INTO THE ATTIC.  EXTENSIVE CELING PULLING WAS REQUIRED TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE FIRE IN THE ATTIC.  E-483 HAD THE RIT ASSIGNMENT AND ALSO ASSISTED WITH OVERHAUL.  THE FIRE WAS UNDER CONTROL WITHIN 40 MIN WITH CONSIDERABLE OVERHAUL.  MPD FIRE INVESTIGATOR WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE. NO INJURIES IN THIS FIRE.
