COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE FIRE ON PERRY HIWAY

THIS AM CREWS WERE SUMMONED TO THE CROSBY'S STORE AT ROUTE 97 & I-90 FOR A REPORTED STRUCTURE FIRE.  THE BUSINESS CALLED STATION 42 DIRECT TO REPORT THE FIRE. E-423 WAS RESPONDING WITH THE 2 PAID STAFF EVEN BEFORE THE DISPATCH. E-432 RESPONDED WITH 2 VOLUNTEERS AND S-437 RESPONDED WITH 1 ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER. R-428 WAS AT STATION 43 WITH 1 ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER MEMBER.  CHIEF 420 RESPONDED TO THE SCENE. E-423 ARRIVED AND REPORTED SMOKE FROM THE BUILDING AND PULLED A 13/4" SPEEDLAY TO ENTER THE BUILDING.  CREWS WERE MET BY AN EMPLOYEE THAT REPORTED AN OVEN FIRE IN THE KITCHEN OF TIM HORTON'S SIDE ON THE BUILDING. CREWS FOUND THE FIRE AND WERE ABLE TO SHUT OFF THE POWER AND CONTROL THE FIRE WITH WATER CANS X2.  THE BUILDING WAS HEAVILY FILLED WITH SMOKE AND 6 TOTAL FANS WERE SET UP TO VENTILATE THE STRUCTURE.  THERE WERE NO INJURIES.  DUE TO THE BUILDING'S USE FOR FOOD SALES THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED. CREWS WERE ON THE RETURN WITH IN 45 MIN.

UNITS ON SCENE: E-423, E-432, S-437, E-682, E-364, T-369. R-428 STAND BY AT 43, E-244 RIT WAS PLACED IN  SERVICE.
