Sat. Apr 13th 2019

SHORTLY BEFORE 10PM TONIGHT CEWS WERE CALLED OUT FOR A SINGLE VEHICLE MVA AT OLIVER ROAD AND HAMOT ROAD.  CREWS WERE JUST FINISHING CLEAN UP AFTER THE COUNTY DINNER AND BOTH AMBULANCES WERE AT STATION 43, LESS THAN 1/2 MILE FROM THE SCENE. S-437, E-434 AND S-427 RESPONDED WITH 7 MEMBERS AND OUR FIRE POLICE ALSO RESPONDED. S-437 WITH THE PAID STAFF WAS FIRST ON SCENE WITH IN 2 MIN AND FOUND A SINGLE CROSSOVER SUV ON THE SIDE OF OLIVER ROAD.  THE DRIVER MISSED THE TURN AND HIT THE DIRT MOUNT AT THE INTERSECTION AND LAUNCHED THE VEHICLE INTO THE AIR 6' STRIKING THE LARGE YELLOW ARROW SIGN. BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER WERE SHOOK UP WITH BACK AND NECK PAINS.  BOTH WERE REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE AND EACH TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL OF THEIR CHOICE AS THE INJURIES WERE NOT LIFE THREATNING. E-434 (THE RESCUE PUMPER) HANDLED DEBRIS CLEANUP,  TRAFFIC CONTROL WITH OUR FIRE POLICE, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CHECKING FOR FLUID LEAKS. PSP ALSO ON THE SCENE INVESTIGATING.
